That. Was. INCREDIBLE!!! I'm not going to re-hash the plot, if you're getting ready to read this than you already know what happens (if you haven't read the first two books yet, I strongly suggest you read them first). This is the re-telling of B1(Fall from Grace) & B2(Saving Grace) through Shane's eyes, but it is sooo much more than that. Yes it's the same story, but so very different at the same time. Being in Shane's head was quite an experience. Your understanding of his character will reach a whole new level.

"A guy is only going to treat a chick the way she treats herself, and if you don't respect yourself, then why the hell should I?"

And while he definitely has his douche moments, the reasons behind some of his choices become clear. We get to see his struggle with his Grace obsession in a whole new light.

Yes, I was definitely demonstrating signs of stalker-ish psychopathic behavior. Wonderful. Crown me the king of Douchedom.

I was beyond angry; I was tormented; f***ing tortured. No one deserved to hold this f***ing kind of power over me. No one. She f***ing twisted my soul and left me struggling to breathe all the f***ing time. This had to be the cruelest punishment, never to be able to have her believe I was more than the piece of s*** she thought I was.

Jealousy is a new emotion for him & it was actually kinda funny to see how he deals with it.

How in the world did humans deal with this asinine emotion every day? This jealousy crap was going to kill me.

Then Tucker touched her. He put his greasy f***ing hands on the bare skin of her back and slid them down towards her ass. MY A**! Hell, I know it's not really my a**, but it's...no it's MY A**!

I know I was showing blatant signs of psycho-like-possessive-violent-bat-s***-crazy tendencies.

All our favorite secondary characters are back and they were awesome!! the dialogue between Shane and his friends was friggin hilarious. Alex has a direct line to my funny-bone, Ethan (the giant teddy-bear) stole a piece of my heart & Tucker is just so far beyond douche material you can't help but laugh at his sheer idiocy.

"Seriously, I feel like I just watched you guys have sex with each other right in front of me. I feel dirty, and a bit horny now, thanks."

And Lea?!? I LOVE THAT GIRL!! Her & Grace are a riot together. You also never realize how much she played matchmaker for Shane & Grace til this book.

"Shane. You want someone like Grace interested in you? Use your words and your actions. Most guys don't know this, but a woman's G-spot is in her eyes and ears. If you look in her pants, you're never going to find it."

As an added bonus, this book extends a bit further in time and the epilogue was a thing of beauty. The author also leaves an opening for possible books in the future. It was not a cliffhanger by any means, we're left with a nice happy glow, but an opening is left there just in case & it definitely left me hungry for more. I am sooo not ready to leave Shane's head or this world behind so....fingers crossed.

"I want to wake up every day I have left to the warmth of your lips on mine, the sound of your voice singing next to me, the feel of your fingers on my skin and your heart beating music with mine."

Maybe it's because I love a good paranormal story now and then to change things up? Maybe it's because it's been over 100 books since I read Fall From Grace and Saving Grace that I could fully appreciate this same story from Shane's POV? Or maybe it's because I've been in such a book funk that hearing a story I enjoyed the first time, helped pulled me out this time? Maybe it's because I got a complete story and didn't have to wait a year to get the second part? Maybe it's because I simply love Shane Maxton? I don't know - but this book made me happy!!! "Number one, shut up and [] you."

100% honesty - I didn't stalk this book. I didn't start a countdown. I didn't track in on my calendar. Maybe that was the best thing I could have done? When I saw it was live, I had to buy it...but then...I didn't read it right away. I knew it was being re-told from Shane's POV but I already knew the story, knew how it ended and with the book funk I've been in, I wasn't sure the timing was right. If I already knew how it was going to end, it didn't matter when I read it. (I know, I know but that's the book funk talking.)

After finishing 2 other new releases, and not giving them more than 3 stars, I figured I might as well give it a try. I had loved Shane Maxton once before, even though he drove me a little crazy, maybe he could be the one to pull me out of my 3's.

The Angel/Rockstar did just that with his singing of Hallelujah! "For a split second, I looked down to see if my skin was turning green and I'd be busting out of my shirt all Hulk-style. No dice."

I laughed out loud, I teared up, I wanted to throw my at the wall (damn if I didn't know how it ended and STILL got frustrated while I was reading).

There was just something about seeing this story from the other side that made my heart skip a beat and fall in love all over again. To those that think his POV should have been included in the first story - sorry but I think you are wrong. This was imperfectly perfect, just like Shane and Grace! "That song was sexy as all [], but dancing to it with Grace made it sinful, and I couldn't get enough of her."

So here are the thank yous to Christine Thank you for making this one book! Thank you for making this story complete because now that I've seen it through Shane's eyes, I feel like it is (unless he starts singing to you again!)! Thank you for bringing this wonderful group of characters to life and sharing them with us. Special thanks for Lea because we might still be waiting for them to get their shit together without her. Thank you for (hopefully) pulling me out of my book funk with your story! And thank you for leaving the opening in the epilogue to bring them back.

5 Sensational Stars!!!!

OMG!!! Where do I start with this book?! Once in a while, you find books that just captivate you and won't let you go. The Mad World Series falls in that category.

From the moment I read the first chapter of Fall From Grace, I was absolutely in love with this series.

In Scars & Songs with get Shane's POV and let me tell you that this book is BEAUTIFUL, RAW and CAPTIVATING ! Prepare yourself for some major Swoon! Holy Hotness! Shane is top notch book boyfriend material.

The characters are addictive. From the best friends to the douche bags, these characters make the story UNFORGETTABLE!!!!

Shane & Grace have this sexual chemistry that had me rereading a few scenes over and over again. They both fight hard for what they want, even if it means being stubborn!

They are perfection to me. Funny, sexy and just beautiful together.

''You know, if you're going to be a smart ass, you should start with being smart. Otherwise you're just an ass. '' -Grace

I LOL a few times with Lea, she's freakin' hysterical!!!! Did you know that there is five levels of douche hierarchy? I love her!!!! It's a beautiful thing to see her friendship with Shane & Grace.

This book was everything that I expected and even more! The Mad World series is a MUST on your TBR list.
